Gender justice
Women from all around the world suffer inequality which generates vulnerability and poverty and reduces their opportunities for personal and profesional growth. In certain countries, Senegal included, the difference in opportunities between men and women are greater: their access to education and to paid jobs is highly rare and they usually are relegated to home care.
Fight to achieve gender justice is one of the pillar of Cultivalia Senegaal’s activity. In order to do this, we support women who lead economic activities in the region where we work, Nguéniène. Nowadays, we work with women associations of six different towns involved in several activities, such as transformation of agricultural products or poultry farming. This projects promote diet diversification for the people of Nguéniène and the economic activity of the region as well as economic independency and a social structure with a sense of comradeship between the women of the villages.
